Description
The Floratam variety of St. Augustine grass grows rapidly and boasts longer, thicker, and more vibrant blades than other St. Augustine grasses. Although the blades may occasionally appear harsher up close, overall, they create a lush, healthy lawn. Floratam is most commonly used for residential lawns and pastures in rural areas.
Floratam requires at least six hours of daily sunlight to thrive, making it well-suited for sunny environments. To establish a healthy lawn, it is essential to water the grass frequently and mow it every two weeks, maintaining a three-inch height.
